The Adamawa Queens Football Club has beaten the Heartland Queens of Owerri Imo with a lone goal. 

The goal was scored in the fourth minute of the game by the Adamawa Queens attacker Jennifer Inji, at the Pantami township stadium in Gombe state. 

Speaking in an interview after the encounter, the Team Manager of Adamawa Queens, Mohammed Lawi said following the victory,  Adamawa Queens is currently occupying the first place in their group of the National Women League with eleven points followed by Edo Queens with nine points. Mohammed Lawi appreciated the girls for a job Weldone expressing optimism that the team will make an impact in the competition.

He commended the state government for supporting the team,  adding that they will justify  the confidence repose on them and make the state proud.
