The Senator representing Adamawa North in the National Assembly, Ishaku Abbo, has accused the state governor, Ahmadu Fintiri of pursuing ethnic and religious agenda in the forthcoming local government election in the state.

Abbo, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on his Facebook wall and WhatsApp platform, accused the governor injustice, warning that his action has put the unity of the PDP in the state under a serious threat.

The senator accused Governor Finitri of unjustifiable disqualification of 24 PDP leaders who had indicated interest in the forthcoming local government election in the state.

He said the governor, is promoting a selfish agenda, “anchored in ethnic nationalism and religious bigotry,” which he warned “would end up destroying the party in the state if the trend was not reversed.”
