Adamawa NECAS embroils in corruption allegations as ICPC arrests Steven Maduwa

Yesterday the Adamawa state office of North East Commodity Association (NECAS) in collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is under locks and keys as independent corrupt Practices commission (ICPC) has sealed up the office.

Monday evening,at exactly 4:18 men of the anti graft agency raided the office with security agencies and napped Mr Steven Maduwa one of the board member of NECAS in the state.

Steven Maduwa who parades himself a close friend of the Executive Governor of Adamawa state, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is revealed is under thorough investigation by men of the ICPC.

The office opposite Bekaji Primary school, Jimeta Yola has been closed down by ICPC and sealed it up with a notice “is under investigations by ICPC” is now in operation when our correspondent visited the office Tuesday afternoon (Today).

The purpose of the arrest is however not revealed by ICPC but will not be unconnected with the myriads of petitions they have been receiving of the organization’s officials embezzling public funds and diversion of equipments for self enrichment.

NECAS of recent have been distributing farming inputs amounting to hundreds of millions of naira in Adamawa state.
