LCCN lost seven members to road accident in Adamawa

Seven members of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria LCCN one Jada in Bonotem diocese including a couple have died in a ghastly motor accident along Ngurore-Numan road in Adamawa state, Northeast Nigeria.

Other occupants that sustained various degrees of injuries are receiving medical attention in three separate hospitals in the area.

The Church members were said to be travelling to Guyuk for a burial of a church member when the incident happened.

Meanwhile, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has joined the LCCN family in mourning the sudden death of its members.

In a statement Signed by Solomon Kumangar DG Media and Communication Government House Yola said “the Governor considers this as a huge loss to the State not only to the bereaved families and the Church”.

Governor Fintiri said they died as patriots and could not have died in vain and prayed God to grant the soul of the departed and speedy recovery of injured.

In another development, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has directed the Police in the state to apprehend the killers of Alhaji Abdu Bali, Chairman Tapital Pulaaku Jonde Jam, Peoples Democratic Party PDP Muchalla Ward Chairman in Mubi North local government area Ishaya Dauda and others which occurred in Yola and Mubi on the Nigeria Independence day celebration.

A press statement signed by Solomon Kumangar DG Media and Communication Government House Yola said the Governor had condemned the killing of innocent souls and commiserate with the families of the victims and pray for quick recovery of those injured.

The statement read in part “The Governor is deeply saddened that another precious life has been needlessly taken casting a dark spell on the celebration of the Nigeria’s Fifty-Ninth Independence anniversary in the state. The Governor has directed the Police to go after and apprehend the killers”
